Road Scholar
Program #6722RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Hi Patricia! I see that I did not notice the dates and replied to those who had posted comments or questions in 2013. In any case, this is my first Road Scholar trip and I will be going April 13-18 of this year. Mary Mahoney, Atlanta, Georgia
Patricia Kenyon Mar 17, 2014 at 01:34 AM

I will look forward to meeting you, Mary! I'm coming from Yuma, AZ.
Mary Mahoney Mar 17, 2014 at 04:43 PM

Looking forward to meeting you, too, Patricia! And a full moon--what a bonus. Should be beautiful.

Patricia Kenyon Mar 08, 2014 at 08:18 AM

From these comments I cannot figure out whether folks are talking about past or upcoming programs. :-( I, myself, am going to the April 13, 2014, program. It will be my first Road Scholar program and I'm beginning to get pretty excited about it. There's a full moon while we're there. Will we be lucky enough to see a moon bow over the falls? I'd love to see more postings from those who are going to this program or those who have been to others at Cumberland Falls!

Pat, look at the dates. My post was from a trip we took in April 2013. Mary Mahoney is apparently going this year but replying to last year's comments.

Is anyone interested in sharing a rental car? I can drive or navigate but unfortunately, not both.

My wife and I are from Huron, OH and this is our third Road Scholar program. I went to Berea College just up the road so this will be a thrill for me. Any other Buckeyes in the group?
Mary Mahoney Mar 06, 2014 at 09:32 PM

I'm not a Buckeye, but I did teach in the Cleveland, OH, public schools many years ago.

Sharon Sudduth Mar 13, 2013 at 10:25 AM

this will be my first trip with Road Scholar - looking forward to the adventure and making new friends.
Lynn Modrow Nov 13, 2013 at 06:36 PM

This is my first program also. You are not alone!
Mary Mahoney Mar 06, 2014 at 09:34 PM

Lynn--This is my first program too!

Is anyone else staying over to see the moonbow? My friend and I are staying over Fri and Sat nights. We hope the conditions will be right so we can see the moonbow on one or both of those nights.
