Would like to learn about others who will be doing the Rogue River trip starting May 12. We are Al and Mary Herring; live in Sutherlin, OR; married 53 years; two "kids," four grandkids; well retired. Have hiked and explored over most of the western US and Canada, also in New Zealand and Nepal. Second Road Scholar trip for us. (First was floating the Owyhee River.) How about you???

Could I borrow a hiking pole from someone who will be attending the June 25-30th "Hiking the Pacific Crest Trail: Southern Oregon"? I'm flying with carry-on baggage only and hiking poles are not allowed in the cabins. thanks in advance.
