My name is Barbara Kroner and I am considering signing up for this Road Scholar trip with my 13 year old grandson. I am worried however that it claims to be "moderately challenging". I'm not sure if I could handle it! I'd love to speak with another grandma who has already done this trip to give me a "heads up" about the experience.

Barbara, I'd be happy to discuss the trip with you. Feel free to email me: kjuarez@sonic.net

Comment...Thanks Kathy! Have you actually taken this trip before though?

Yes, my 11 year old granddaughter and I went on it this past August.

My granddaughter Katie (almost 11) and I will be coming Aug. 2-7. I'm renting a car and driving from Bozeman, probably leaving around 2. Anyone need a ride?

Judy Finger Jul 13, 2015 at 01:48 PM

Ron and I are coming July 26-31 with grandchildren 15 (girl) and 12 (boy, another Sam). I'm excited there will be some international participants. We are driving from MN but will not arrive until the 26th. It sounds like an exciting program.

My name is Margie and I will be coming with my 11 year old granddaughter. We are arriving at the Best Western on July 4. Is anyone else arriving early? We are looking forward to meeting everyone.

My husband and I, Vance and Betsy, will be coming with our 12 year old grandson. He has been enrolled (5th and 6th grade) in an ecological school. We are all from Michigan. Robert is looking forward to the outdoors experience. We are taking the train to Havre, MT, and renting a car to drive to Gardiner. We look forward to meeting everyone.
