EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Linda, have alerted Road Scholar today. I gave them the name of the person at the Radisson they should speak with, Robin Highfield @ 703-920-8600, Ex. 267. However, there is another problem, even bigger, the entire hotel is going through major, major renovation. (I'm quoting the desk clerk) and not sure if you have had the unfortunate experience of being in a hotel going through renovation before or not, but I have and it's not a pretty picture! Routes were diverted inconveniently, accommodations were not up to par, the services were subpar, etc. I have also mentioned this to R.S. as a major concern of mine, along with the lack of a pool. They will be contacting me by email asap in regard to this problem. I feel the more people signed up for this trip who know about it, the majority will feel the same way as you and I feel. So the more who contact R.S., the better, and let them know we're unhappy, the better.

Linda why don't we both inquiry through Road Scholar as to the possibility of changing hotels because of the lack of pool usage?

I plan to call Road Scholar's offices this week.

Hello, am curious Are there any other grandmother's taking their g.child to the Wash.DC trip on June 21, '15? I am bringing my 13 yr. old granddaughter, who lives in San Diego and I live in Sac. (actually Lincoln, 30 miles north of Sac.) Would enjoy making contact.

My granddaughter, 13 yrs., and I will be coming from San Diego and Sacramento flying together to Wash. DC for the 6-21- Jun 26, 2015 trip. Is that when you are going also?

Is there going to be a trip July 20-25, 2014? those would be the perfect dates for me.

I'm wondering about what readings would be good for the kids before this trip. Anyone with ideas?

Is there time allowed to visit other than places listed in the itinerary? We'd like to visit Arlington National Cemetery.

Arrive a few days early or stay later to explore on your own.
