My husband and I are excited to be going on this trip in June 2014. It is our 1st RS trip, but we are going with my sister, a veteran RS traveller. Hope to hear from some fellow travellers for this trip!

Howard Barkan Aug 06, 2013 at 09:16 AM

If anyone from the June 2013 trip happens to check this discussion board, us August folks would appreciate any comments about it, lessons learned, etc. Like what to bring or not to bring, thoughts about the trip, etc. Thanks!
Diane Blais Aug 07, 2013 at 10:50 AM

Diane Blais Jun 21, 2013 at 10:27 AM

Howard Barkan Jun 21, 2013 at 10:58 AM

We are flying to/from Newark. Arriving in Zurich a couple of days early, and will meet up with the group in the Zurich airport on Tuesday 8/20.
Diane Blais Jun 24, 2013 at 11:21 AM

sounds great looking forward to meeting you..
Diane Blais Jul 09, 2013 at 03:11 PM

Howard - nearly 5 weeks away..should be getting our final information soon. Do you leave in the Neward area. I am originally from N.H. and have many relatives still there.

Diane Blais May 15, 2013 at 05:36 PM

who is doing this trip in August? Please post so we can meet prior..thanks

Erika Munk May 11, 2013 at 10:48 PM

I'm going to practice my fairly rudimentary German whenever I can on this trip. Is there anyone else who has been studying the language?
Georgia Quinn May 13, 2013 at 07:00 PM

I'm hoping to use the translator function on my iPod. German is totally foreign to me.
Georgia Quinn Jul 04, 2013 at 08:34 AM

Tanslator function did not work well at all. Fortunately, there were a few German-speaking travelers along. There is a lot of "on-your-own" time, and there are few English-speaking people in the towns.
Diane Blais Aug 07, 2013 at 10:59 AM

can you let us August folks know if there is anything that we could really benefit in knowing prior to leaving shortly?

Diane Blais Nov 13, 2012 at 01:34 PM

This will be my first road scholar trip..Would love to talk and meet anyone attending this program.. Thanks Diane
