I and my husband will be attending. This is our first road scholar trip but we have visited this area frequently as it is a favorite. Looking forward to meeting all of you. We will be driving in from Utah, where we spend the summer getting away from the Texas heat.

Hi Cheryl, it was a pleasure spending the week with you and Doug and thanks for sharing your passion for this area with the rest of the group. Welcome to Road Scholar and I hope to see you again!

I agree on bringing both cameras and lens plus a lap top to download at the end of the day and review images.
I usually bring three cameras, a 35mm film, a 645 medium format film, my digital. I will decide which to bring each day depending on where we are going.
Also, don't forget a good tripod as you'll be shooting in manual and want to take time to set up your shots.

Hi Ken, it was great to spend another program with you and I look forward to seeing more of your images!

I had a great time. I did see a Grizzly on Sunday. It was south of the Jackson Lake dam. One of last years cubs. Talked with a local who said there is a Momma bear that has three cubs, she also had three last year.

I'm enrolled in the Advanced Nature Photography in Yesllowstone and Grand Teton beginning in Jackson Hole on Sept. 16th. Who else will be there?

Renee Aubuchon Jun 30, 2012 at 05:59 PM

Hello! Very much looking forward to this trip! Trying to decide if I should bring one camera or two... choices are Nikon 700 D or Fujifilm HS 30 with a 30x optical zoom. I think i will bring the Fujifilm for the zoom, and wondering if bringing the Nikon is worth it, since it heavy to lug around....
Wayne Parris Sep 01, 2012 at 10:42 PM

I'd bring both. Better to have the second one and not need it, than wishing you had brought it if you needed it.
