Hi Betty, I am bringing American money. I will exhange at the hotel if needed. Make sure your money is clean with no marks or looking used. I had to go to a couple of banks to do that. They say not to use the ATM because of the increase rates and the high crime level. See you in Costa Rica on February 20. Pat
