Program #8727RJ
11 Days | 10 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Bob Retsema: I am enrolled for this trip (8727-Sept 15-25), and am interested in a potential roommate.

Does anyone know if this trip includes Antelope Canyon? I don't see it on the itinerary but "Elaine" has uploaded photos from there on this site. Anyone know, please?
Roberta Hung Jun 13, 2014 at 02:37 PM

No. But a couple in my 2013 group arranged through the guides to to to Antelope Canyon at additional expense by bus in lieu of the lake cruise and rainbow arch. There is another tour that goes to Antelope Canyon in lieu of the Grand Canyon North Rim.

Thanks! I will definitely look into these options.

We are registered for the June 2nd trip. This will be our first Road Scholar trip. Any packing suggestions? When do we receive our information from the company about such things?

Gerry Eldred Apr 07, 2014 at 05:43 PM

Anyone registered for the September 18 trip?
Carolynn Bramlett Jun 25, 2014 at 11:17 AM

I registered last week and am looking forward to it. I'm also looking for anyone traveling from So Calif who might want to carpool to St. George.

This will be my first RS trip, going June 2nd to 10th
Roberta Hung Mar 31, 2014 at 10:25 AM

Excellent choice for 1st RS trip. Staff and fellow travelers were great. There were long stretches on the bus, but the driver was the best. Food was ok, the usual buffet fare. I opted for the more challenging route at Bryce and was glad. Temperature was dry 90s so keep hydrated and dress cool. Wear sneakers rather than sandals as some hiking trails are on sand or stone. You will enjoy this trip.

I know this is early, but anyone going on the Sept 1, 2014 trip? This will be our second RS trip and we just can't wait to meet new RS friends...Jim and Jean Lessard, Brockton, MA

Is anybody going September 23rd, 2013? Where are you from?

Harvey and Marjorie Huiner Aug 31, 2013 at 10:53 AM

I wonder how large a group will be on the September 9 tour.
Deanna & John Mooney Sep 02, 2013 at 05:17 PM
