See all of our Most Popular programs.
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding, and rewarding, programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

The hotel is ok felt safe when i was there in june .just know that the restaurant only serves breakfast.my room was clean no problems there
Terry Wangsness Jul 09, 2015 at 06:05 PM

I hope so, I read a lot of the reviews from Trip Advisor and they weren't good. When I looked at it online, it is a different hotel than the one I stayed in or I don't remember it anymore. I am not happy with this RS choice of a hotel in Vegas.
Terry Wangsness Jul 09, 2015 at 06:17 PM

Looked up the daily schedule again, glad to know we only have one night in the Alexis Hotel

Catherine Ziel Jul 09, 2015 at 12:06 PM

This trip sounds great, but the Alexis Park Resort gets pretty awful reviews on Trip Advisor, including reports of gunshots in the parking lot last month. Is it safe and acceptable?
Rebecca Machin Jul 09, 2015 at 12:49 PM

My experience was okay but another couple in our group were very unhappy with their room. I never felt unsafe
Terry Wangsness Jul 09, 2015 at 03:53 PM

I am not sure if this is the same hotel that I stayed in when I took this trip a few years ago. I never ventured out of the hotel. I personally do not like Las Vegas. You will be there one night before and one night after the trip. If it is the same one, the continental breakfast was disappointing, there was a smal pool but too hot in there. Dinner was not so good. Seems like shootings are going on everywhere these days. Just be careful and be aware of your surroundings at all times. If and when you meet up with other women, and want to go somewhere, go in groups or take a cab. The rest of the trip is wonderful. I will look up the hotel.

Hello James, I have been on this trip before and am going again in September. It's a wonderful trip, beautiful country. Summer may be crowded with kids, heat, rain, etc...I like to travel in September and October. I find it the best of the year wherever I travel.

James Scott Jul 06, 2015 at 03:41 PM

Is anyone going on this trip leaving July 8th?

Terry Wangsness Jun 30, 2015 at 08:22 PM

Yes, that's what I do as well. It's only a week. I wash out my tops and nylon hiking pants, they dry fast.

Michael Thoryn Jun 30, 2015 at 04:35 PM

Plan on hand washing. All our clothes were drip-dry and took individual packets of Woolite.

Carol Auer Jun 28, 2015 at 11:55 PM

We just signed up for Oct 1-9, our first trip with RS. Will there be a chance to do a load of laundry or will we be hand washing?
Helen Sternheim Jun 29, 2015 at 11:15 AM

Call the motels you are staying at and see if they have guest laundries.

Doris Knapton Jun 23, 2015 at 03:26 PM

How many suitcases can we bring?
Cathy Rankin Jun 23, 2015 at 04:05 PM

I suggest only 1 you are responsible for getting suitcase to bus and to room alexis park has no elevator. Also if staying in parks need to take suitcase to cabin which is a short distance from bus
Cathy Rankin Jun 23, 2015 at 04:06 PM

I just came back from this trip it was great i had 1 suitcase and a backpack
