Anita, I am in the Buffalo airport in a row of chairs where people coming thru security finish.

Nina Kirkpatrick Jun 11, 2014 at 01:58 PM

I am going to the Oct. 5-10, 2014 program and will be flying into Buffalo Airport. I do not have my flights yet. I have also signed up for the Road Scholar shuttle, which is $100 round trip, but can cancel this. However it only makes one trip on the 5th and one trip on the 10th. This limits my flight alternatives. There are other car services which are also expensive but allow several people to split the cost. Is anyone interested in exploring sharing rides?
Nina Kirkpatrick Jul 30, 2014 at 08:56 PM

I have just learned that because I reserved a single room, my shuttle transportation is included. So I am not now looking for anyone to share a ride with. I will be arriving at Buffalo at 11:15 am. I would be happy to have lunch with anyone else arriving early with time to kill.

I live in New Haven, CT and am planning to drive to Chautauqua for the June 8-13 session of Foreign Policy. Is anyone in southern New England interested in arranging ridesharing to this program?

Yes we are! have you been able to contact Sid Lyons?
Patricia Graczyk Sep 05, 2013 at 07:01 PM

Hi, Judith - Yes, I've spoken to Sid and he has room for you in his van. His # is 267-772-7317. Why don't you give him a call and tell him that you are the person I mentioned and let him know that you would like a ride. My flight arrives at 11:40. There is another person sharing the van whose flight also arrives at 11:40. How does that sound to you?
Judith West Sep 05, 2013 at 10:03 PM

Great! I have confirmed two additional travelers with Sid and we now have four sharing the ride. I look forward to meeting you. .
Patricia Graczyk Sep 16, 2013 at 03:28 PM

Same here, Judith! See you on Oct. 6th!

My travel mate and I are attending Program #6881, US Foreign Policy. We arrive at BUF the morning of Oct. 6th and are interested in sharing a limo/car ride to Chautauqua. Our planes arrive in the morning so there should be no problem connecting with other participants. Is anyone interested?
I anticipate a great week with my fellow "Scholars!"
Patricia Graczyk Sep 01, 2013 at 09:54 PM

I will also be arriving at BUF on morning of Oct. 6. I'm interested in sharing a ride and would like to coordinate with Sid Lyons. He's wonderful! Are you interested in sharing a ride?

I am a history and foreign policy buff and hold a Masters Degree in U.S. Foreign Policy. I am anxious to hear what the pros have to say about our foreign policy and hope that an in depth discussion will give me a serious 'look behind the curtain' and an ability to connect the dots because no issue in this arena stands on its own...there are strings everywhere and as important to any discussion on foreign policy are the world leaders of their countries and their personalities which have an enormous impact on their decision making.

Charles Branscomb May 22, 2013 at 09:55 PM
