ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I have signed up for the 5/17 program with included shuttle, plus back to back Niagara program 5/24, staying the 2 extra nites before + 3 Xtra Nites after at the Niagara site. Is anyone else doing this? Plan to stay 2 or 3 Nites in Buffalo too because I've never been there.

Roz, I'm flying in on 5/16 from CA, but I'll be arriving late. Would you like to get together on Sunday, 5/17? Where are you staying? I'm looking at airport hotels but haven't chosen one yet.

I'm flying in from BWI on 5/17, arriving on Southwest 328 at 11:20am. If not delayed, I shouldbe there in plenty oof time for the 2:30 shutttle to Chautauqua. Meet for lunch at airport? 808-262-9536.

I am driving to Chautauqua from Ithaca on 5/18, and back at the end of the program - if someone needs a ride, get in touch.

thought when one clicked on a name, the email would show up - doesn't appear to. hwyvill@wivell.net

Helen, I am going to Ithaca right after the program in Chautauqua and would LOVE a ride there with you. I can share the expenses. I would like to arrive in Ithaca by 5:00, if possible.

I am coming in a day early from San Diego for the 9/22 program. Anyone else - interested in getting together for dinner on Saturday?

Roberta Williams Aug 15, 2013 at 10:15 PM

Because I am coming from Nevada, I will not arrive at the Buffalo Airport until 4:30 on Sunday, Sept. 22; when I researched the cost of the shuttle and the limo to Chautauqua at that time for one person they were both about $160. Would anyone else who is coming in about that time, wish to share a ride.

I don't think it will be a problem with the shuttle on the return trip but if it is, it is cheaper to rent a car at about $200 for the week - does someone one want to share costs of a rental car?

I will be leaving Chautauqua at:11:00 am on the Buffalo Airport Shuttle on the 27th, if you wish to share the cost of that with me.

Dorothy, That sounds like a deal to me! We will find each other during the week I am sure. Might even be roommates. See you soon.

To all participants: I have rented a car in Rochester, NY as visitng my daughter there. So I could pick up riders at the airport for a partial share of the cost for the 5 days. Return ride to airport, too. Let me know.

What are the arrangements for golfing?

Virginia Bainton Apr 17, 2013 at 02:33 PM

This may be a repeat but I don't see my previous post. Thanks for offers of transportation from Buffao airport to Chautauqua. My sister and I have decided to go with the RS shuttle arrangement which now includes pick up at the airport.

See above post if u want to ride in my rental car bot ways. Jim

My roommate and I have rented a car to leave Buffalo Airport around 2:30 on Sunday, May 19 and will return to airport by 5:00 p.m. On Friday, May 24. If this fits your schedule we could provide transportation for you for $50.00 round trip. Send your email and we could work out details.

Virginia Bainton Jan 19, 2013 at 01:00 PM

Has anyone used the shuttle from the airport which is an add-on to the Chautauqua trip? It requires taking a cab from the Buffalo airport to the Home Depot in Tonawanda from which the shuttle leaves at 2:30 -or to the Tops Market in West Seneca which leaves at 3:15.
On the return trip it would require a cab from the drop off location to the airport. It is a cost saving over the commercial shuttles leaving from the airport, but I wonder if the hassle is worth it?

This sounded too cumbersome to us.
