Program #20899RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Great trip. You can't miss enrolling. Food was the best. Hope the weather is good. We had 2 nice days, but cold the rest of our trip. Ford and Edison trips worth seeing, as well.

Hi, I am attending the January 24 Sanibel Island program. I will be on the Island Jan 22 at the hotel if there are any other early birds. Would like to meet up.

I am a retired physician and have enrolled in Sanibel Island 19-24 Jan. I would like to meet others who will attend this program.

I went on the trip last year and had a great time! Eleanor is a gracious, Southern hostess. The wildlife was the best part. Just remember to take your watch off before plunging into the pool/ocean! In the meanwhile I'll try to keep dry in Seattle. Have fun!

I am arriving Dec. 7 for the Dec. 8-13 program. Scheduled to arrive at 4:38 p.m. Anyone arriving around that time who would like to share a taxi or van/shuttle ride? M. Eaton

I'm on the December 1-6 visit. Anyone else out there on this trip also?

If you want to read some great fiction books featuring this area, try the books by Randy Wayne White. They are fast moving adventure stories and there are lots of them. There is also another newish book that is historical fiction called Blue Asylum.
Jean Noack Oct 26, 2013 at 06:41 PM

I'm going to look up those books. I would love to go back to Sanibel.
