See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This was a wonderful trip! Just be sure to take into account the high altitudes. The leaders were great and the people of both countries were very friendly and helpful.

Christiana Moore Aug 17, 2014 at 11:28 PM

I emailed the group photo taken at Machu Picchu to everyone on the trip who provided an email address, and a number of other photos subsequently. If anyone is missing a photo of any event or sight, let me know and I will send whatever I have. Chris

Has anyone posted any pictures from the trip and if so where? We are interested in the group picture that Juan Carlos took on some cameras at Machu Picchu. Also did anyone get sick shortly after returning home? Jan and I both came down with a strange upper respiratory problem, she also was vomiting, and we were both on antibiotics and even now still fighting it.

Regarding Howard Cohen question about clothing needs: Nothing is fancy but it is good to have a dressier pair of slacks and shirt for men and skirt or slacks with dressier top for women, rather than field ware for example.

I would agree with that, especially for the farewell dinner.

Howard Cohen Jun 08, 2014 at 03:50 PM

we leave on the June 12, 2014 trip flying out of Miami. Are there any nights where we need to have dressy clothes for dinner? Jan & Howe

I am signed up for the June 13-26 trip and would like to know who else is going. Is there a way to find out? I thought I saw somewhere that there is a way....?

Ronald Baldwin Mar 31, 2013 at 11:50 AM

We are enrolled in the Sep 12, 2013 trip. We are Ron and Carolyn, traveling with friends Rich and Lily. Who else is going?

Roger Hinkle Mar 27, 2013 at 05:12 PM

We are Roger and Maggie Hinkle from Tucson AZ, departing on the October 3 2013 trip. Wondering if other participants are on our flight AA 2193 departing Dallas at 5:05PM to Lima, and on the LAN flight from Lima to Cusco departing Lima at 5:20 AM on October 4.
Sheryl Kabak Jun 06, 2013 at 11:32 AM

We are not coming from Tucson, but my husband Maynard and I will be joining you on the October 3rd trip. We are from the Chicago area, and this is our first Road Scholars trip, although we have traveled before in Europe and Asia. We look forward to meeting you. Sheryl Kabak
Roger Hinkle Jun 06, 2013 at 12:32 PM

Hi Sheryl, Thanks for the reply. Are you travelling to Peru through Dallas or through Miami? Roger Hinkle
