I have had no formal instruction in watercolor, just reading books and self teaching. Is this workshop over my head?

Jennifer Grier Nov 02, 2014 at 02:02 PM

This is my first road scholar trip. Looking forward to painting and all the other activities. Does anyone know what the weather is usually like in the Pocanos in November? At this point I'm thinking layers.
Joan Parrett Nov 04, 2014 at 06:18 PM

Hello: This also is my first Road Scholar activity. Regarding weather and driving conditions in the Pocono area, I am driving from near Hershey, PA, and can attest to the definite possibility of snow in November ! Although occasionally, warm short-sleeve weather persists, those days are rare. Layers are perfect, Jennifer, and don't forget car preparations, as November frosts can be heavy. Our leaves are rapidly falling, so I anticipate little remaining color, but the area is veryt scenic even without the fall colors. Now about our DEER: If you are driving at dusk and thereafter, watch for them, as they seek water at dawn and dusk. If one enters the roadway, 90% of the time, at least one more is following. Okay, that's it. I am looking forward to meeting each of you ! Take Care, Joan

Won't they just assign roommates? I am also going that week.
Ellen Muzi Sep 06, 2014 at 05:25 PM

I spoke with them when I signed up and asked for a roommate, also. Because I am allergic to perfumes and scented products, I asked them to match me up with someone. I'll be driving up from Scranton, PA, so if anyone would like a ride, I'd like the company.
