See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

We are arriving fr SC on May 10. We plan to stay extra night at HIE, and hopefully they have a shuttle. This is our first RS adventure. And we look forward to making new friendships!

Am interested in combining this trip May 11-17, 2014, followed by #4874RJ (MAY 18-23, 2014) Hiking in Yellowstone: Wildflowere, Wildlife, Waterfalls, Hot Springs.
I would appreciate advice on 2 concerns: (1) ability required to do a Moderately Challenging trip. (I completed an Active trip #8727 Utah's ...Parks.)
(2)Getting from Yellowstone Lodge, W. Yellowstone to Yellowstone River Motel, Gardiner, MT.

Are there laundry facilities at our hotels/cabins?
Helen Sternheim May 26, 2013 at 04:27 PM

Read each of the hotels ammenities, or call them via phone.
Jane Denbo May 26, 2013 at 06:18 PM

None of them list laundry, but I thought R.S. might know. Thanks.

For the June 23 trip we will be driving up from the south. Would you recommend going all the way up to Bozeman before turning south to the park, or cutting east through the park at some point? And if so, where? We would want the faster route.

I haven't checked all the roads, but have you considered entering Yellowstone from the South, via Jackson Hole (and a view of the Tetons)?

Hi - this will be my first trip to Yellowstone. Looking for a roommate for the Sep 24 trip. One of the things I love about Road Scholar is the fabulous people I meet everywhere I go. Just retired and will have much more time to travel in the future. If interested, let me know.

Frances...Hawaii's Humpback Whales trip sounds great! Just wanted to comment on the Aug program. The weather will be drier and maybe cooler. Nights and mornings could be very cool, but still very beautiful..just bring layers.

I was so impressed with your complete and thorough answers to my questions and the inclusion of a lot of additional helpful information. I'm thrilled with the prospect of attending but will probably sign up for the late August trip as I have registered for the January "Hawaii's Humpback's Whales" trip. I only just started traveling with RS this past September, on the "Victorian Primer in Cape May" and now it appears that I'm "addicted" to wonderful experiences that RS offers! Thank you taking the time to respond and hopefully I will meet your team later next year.
