Program #2579RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I just enrolled myself and two grandkids, ages 6 & 8 for the August 2, 2015 session. I am so excited as this is my first experience with Road Scholar and am optimistic that it will be a full, fun filled week with them. We live in VA so not far to travel which is a real plus for me! Hope to hear soon from others attending this week.

I attended last summer with my 12-year-old (rather mature) granddaughter. She had a great time both relating to the older and younger participants. If your granddaughter relates well with all ages she would have a great time. The program has content very suitable for the teenager.

I am concerned that this program might be too "young" for my 15 year old high school freshman granddaughter. Does anyone have experience with this program and that age granddaughter?

My husband and I (from W PA) are enrolled with our 11-year-old grandson from WY the week of June 22-26. Is anyone else participating during this week? He is very interested in becoming a scientist.
