Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

This is the first time for us to travel to the east coast, hopefully to see the follage, and learn about the history, archetecture, and enjoy the foods. We are from Kansas and have been in a drought this summer, so this is going to be a treat.
Sue Droske Aug 29, 2012 at 11:13 AM

Yes, the drought here in Texas has been severe, as well. It will be refreshing to see some fall color. Where in Kansas do you live? I'm originally from Oklahoma.
Julia Snyder Sep 01, 2012 at 12:08 PM

We are west of Kansas City, KS, north of Lawrence. We live out in the country on 5 acres. We just got some rain last nite from the Issac. Are you traveling with another person. Are you flying? We are.
Rayma Payne Sep 13, 2012 at 08:46 PM

I will fly in from Denver.

This is our first trip with Road Scholar and I'm certainly looking forward to it! I've always wanted to see New England in the fall. Being a Texas girl, that fall foliage should be quite a sight!
Rayma Payne Sep 13, 2012 at 08:47 PM

Where in Texas are you from?

Rayma Payne Aug 13, 2012 at 11:53 PM

Yes, we're excited about it all, too! Have you read anything interesting about the area, foods, etc? Can you suggest any reading?
Rayma Payne Aug 29, 2012 at 01:29 PM

Just the ones mentioned in the packet. I haven't read any yet.
Rayma Payne Sep 13, 2012 at 08:48 PM
