Road Scholar
Program #15964RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderately Challenging
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Is anyone going on the 9/21 dig?

Rae Walker Jun 12, 2014 at 12:13 AM

Pam: How was the dig?
Pam Allgood Jun 12, 2014 at 07:37 AM

It was great! Learned a lot, met some great folks and found lots of things including a French regiment button from 1781. The visit to the vault in Jamestown was not long enough. They are having a fall session this year.
Rae Walker Jun 12, 2014 at 11:30 PM

That sounds like a successful venture! I may try it next May.

Anyone else signed up for this years program.
Connolly Lynn May 07, 2014 at 08:34 PM

Not signed up this year but look forward to next year. Post a review and pics! Enjoy!

Hello, I am looking forward to the Jamestown archaeology program May 12 through 17. Would like to hear a little about other participants in the program. My name is Lynn and this will be my first Roadscholar program. I live in Michigan. Have been wanting to participate in a program such as this forever!!
Erin Teichman Mar 27, 2013 at 08:39 AM

Greetings, Lynn, this will be our third Road Scholar to Jamestown, but our first service learning. My husband is from Michigan, also. See you in May. Erin Teichman
