Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Addendum to my previous post: the second program is in Williamsburg VA.
Sorry,

Hi, I am enrolled in the March 17 thru 22nd program and a second program, "Colonial and Revolutionary VA" from March 24th. I am having a difficult time finding a way to get between the two programs. The only practical way seems to be to rent a car. Is there anyone out there who is doing these same two programs who would be willing to share a ride?

Hello. I am enrolled in this program beginning April 7, 2013. I am interested in meeting others who are enrolled in this program. I am driving from NY to Baltimore on Saturday 4/6 and then to Charlottesville Sunday morning 4/7.

Sorry, Ora. I will be driving to the program in Charlottesville, but it will be in late May.

Ora Klemme Feb 11, 2013 at 04:16 PM

I will be attending this program March 17 through 22nd.
Then the Colonial & Revolutionary Virginia in Williamsburg Virginia March 24 through March 29. Is anyone driving between these back to back programs? The travel agent suggested taking a train. does anyone have any further information on getting between these back-to-back programs?

I will be attending this program in May 2013 (5/19 - 5/24) This is my first Road Scholar program and since I will be alone and can drive to Charlottesville, I thought it might be a good program to start with. Is anyone else going to be in Cville at this date? It would be nice to "meet" other participants before the event.

This is my first trip with Roads, I'm looking forward to it. My flight was changed so I'm arriving later than I planned.
