I did this trip in May 2014 - it was awesome! Lots of good hikes and the guides were great.
One tip - before you go check the weather for EACH LOCATION (not just St. George). It can be quite cold at Bryce (8000+ ft) while warm in Zion and St. George.

I will be coming from Albuquerque for the March 30-April 5, 2015 trip. Is anyone else coming from here? I also attended the Staircase to the Past: Utah's Grand Circle of Parks and Monuments 4 years ago and can't wait to go back and spend more time hiking in Bryce Canyon and Zion.

Louise and I are going on the Oct. 5th hike. We are looking forward to some exercise and some great scenery. Any details that anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

I am thinking about this trip. If you've done the Observation hike could you please tell me if there are any parts that have skinny ledges with high drop offs. ( scared of heights but if the path is wide I would probably do okay,)

I am signed up for the Oct. 6 trip, and wondering where other participants are coming from... I'm from Northern California.

Hi Rose! My husband Tom and I will be on this trip -- it's our first Road Scholar trip too. We are flying into Vegas (arriving 10:30 am), and then taking the shuttle. Have you found any others that are going to be on our trip?
Rose M Feb 15, 2014 at 12:10 AM

Hello Again, Susan, I have not heard from any other brave hikers who will share our journey..... but expect they'll be along soon.
Ian Richmond Mar 22, 2014 at 12:29 PM

Rose M Mar 29, 2014 at 01:31 AM

Hello Richard.... It seems a number of us will be new Road Scholars. Interesting to wonder how each of us arrived at this particular crossroad.... at this point in our journey. Guess we'll have lots of time to unravel such mysteries on the trail ! Safe Travels !

Barbara Carnes Jan 25, 2015 at 07:55 PM

I'm doing the May program. I'll be coming from either Missouri or Colorado, and not sure how I'll get to St. George yet...
