I would like to know from RS what the schedule will be for Sat June 1, incl dep time from the hotel, timing for the UN tour, and esp when we board the bus for the ship. Lunch is on our own, but without detailed info on timings, it's difficult to know how long we'll have and what would be practical. Please advise, incl points where we'd leave the UN tour and esp where we'd board the bus for the ship.

I would like to know from RS about how long the Fri May 31 reception/mtg will last. Dinner is on our own, and I have a favorite restaurant but I don't know when would be a sensible time to book a table.

Also, I'm interested in company for dinner, dutch treat! My favorite is Aqua Grill in the village. It's a very good upscale seafood restaurant where dinner could be in the range of $40-50 per person, depending on your choice of entree and beverage. I'd love to hear from others signed up for this trip who might consider joining me, dutch treat.

We are quite excited about this tour too. It will be our fourth Road Scholar/Elder Hostel course (we did Oberamergau in 2010 and Canyon de Chelly and Mesa Verde last fall). I am quiite excited about Bletchley Park too, we spent an afternoon many years ago trying to find it. We are interested to hear what drew others to this course. We enjoy cruises and have had an interest in Cold War intelligence for many years.

I just got my final info packet in the mail today, April 1. When I went online to submit the Cunard Guest Registration Form, using the booking ID the packet sent me, Cunard's website said they have no record of my booking! Why not!? ps. Does anyone from Road Scholar ever answer these msgs?

Hi Tom, thanks for letting us know that you're having trouble wth the Guest Registration Form. An advisor from our Participant Services Department will be contacting you shortly by phone to help you resolve the issue. Thank you!

Tom Seeley Mar 11, 2013 at 07:23 PM

The instructions in your information packet re registering with Cunard are ambiguous and contradictory.

On page 5 of your 34-pg packet, you say we should "register online...about 5 weeks prior to departure...".

On page 25, in humongous letters, you say "Please complete and return the Cunard guest registration form...at least 3 months prior to departure..."

The Cunard Guest Registration Form itself says, at the bottom, "we will appreciate receipt of this guest registration form at least six weeks prior to sailing..."

Which is it? 5 weeks prior? six weeks prior? or 3 months prior? They can't all be right!

The form itself calls for information you said on page 5 we would not receieve till we get the final info packet about 5 weeks prior to departure, so if that's the case we can't possibly comply with either of the other two requirements of "at least six weeks prior to..." or "at least 30 days prior to..."

Please give us clear, UNambiguous consistent instructions.

I'm enrolled and I'd like to hear from others who are also. Esp if you plan on being in NYC a day or so ahead of time. I might do that, and it might be fun to "bop around" the big Apple together if we have common interests. Mine include the Met (opera AND the museum), the Frick Collection, maybe a show or concert if the Met Opera is dark or doing something I hate, etc. Let me know...

Hi. New to Road Scholar. Just enrolled in the Cambridge Five spy tour to Cambridge on the Queen Mary II leaving NYC May 31, 2013. Would like to hear from others who may also be going along.

Just enrolled in the spy tour leaving on the QM2 on May 31. Very interested in Bletchley Park. Have you seen the movie Enigma or read the book? This is my 4th RS trip and I am very excited about it.
