EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. Minimal walking and not too many stairs.

ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.

Hi. I am considering the Feb 21 trip. Anyone traveling from NY-JFK? I am coming from Suffolk County, NY. Any other suggestions?

Lynne Clayton Jan 22, 2016 at 09:11 PM

Hi Alicia, I am booked the same week, but planning to fly in and take the free shuttle. Works with my flight times. See no need for a car. Lynne

Hi Lynne - I just got home from the trip- no need for car, reallynothing in the town. Enjoy !

Anybody else attending the 1/24 session who is flying in from DC and may be affected by the blizzard forecasted for DC?

Alicia Bowman Jan 20, 2016 at 03:17 PM

My sister-in-law and I just booked the 2/21-2/26 trip and will be flying in from DC. We're wondering if we should make sure to catch the free shuttle (poor flight times), or if it's worth it to have a car. We might want to go "into town" if there is one. Not looking for excitement, just a nice restaurant or pub or something. Any thoughts?

Hi Alicia - I am flying in from Alabama on Saturday night - I agree that the shuttle time is tough to match with flights. I have been to Craftsbury several times and found no need for a car. I just don;t want to be driving if the roads get bad and am not sure there is anything nearby to drive to.

Just got back from the trip, no need for car

Hi Sharon, I'm also booked the week of Feb 28th. Traveling from metro Boston area. It's my second trip to Craftsbury. It's just a wonderful x-country skiing experience! Looking forward to meeting you.
