Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Does anyone going on the Dec 2nd tour read this?
Jean Moffett Oct 19, 2012 at 06:19 PM

Nancy, just saw your message. I am going on the Dec. 2 trip. Will be leaving from Little Rock. Where is your home? Jean Moffett
Jean Moffett Oct 20, 2012 at 01:31 PM

Hi, Nancy, just got your message on my e-mail but don't know how to reply on it. You live in my kind of country. My family is in Grants Pass; I used to go yearly as I was growing up. It's wonderful. Your pre-trip sounds fun. Write me at my e-m. It is jeanmeimei@att.net

Is there anyone from the Pacific Northwest going on the January 10 2013 trip?
Carole Sklar Jun 14, 2013 at 05:50 PM

All messages below were written in 2012! Will anyone be going this year?

Fred Ris Sep 19, 2012 at 07:41 PM

Would like to get acquainted with anybody who is going on the January 10 (2013) edition of this program.
Nancy Willson Sep 23, 2012 at 12:38 PM

Wish I could help with that. I'm going on December 2nd. I wonder who will be going then? Anybody out there?
Arri Sendzimir Dec 02, 2012 at 10:20 AM

I'm going on the January 10 trip but am from Connecticut.

Hey there,
What about recommended vaccines? CDC seemed rather vague recommendation wise.
Nancy Willson Sep 18, 2012 at 11:13 PM

I talked to my local health department and they said none were required but Hepatitis A and Typhoid were recommended as well as being sure that Tetanus boosters are up to date. Does this help?

Jennifer Angyal Jun 17, 2012 at 08:55 PM

The State Department cites UN statistics indicating that Honduras is among the most violent nations in the world, with American tourists often the target of murders and kidnappings. How does Road Scholar provide adequate security in this situation?
Road Scholar Jun 21, 2012 at 02:50 PM

Safety of our participants is our number one concern. Our program providers work with local guides who are experts in the area to plan the itinerary, and make sure the locations we travel to are safe. If any situation arose where there was even a chance of danger, we would alter the itinerary to avoid a certain area, or if it was bad enough, cancel the program altogether.
