EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

My grandson and I are scheduled for the July 12-17 trip for 2015. I have taken this trip before with another grandchild and do not want to take the shuttle and would rather rent a car at the Phoenix Airport and return it to Las Vegas which is much closer to Peach Springs. Is there any other grandparent and grandchild that would want to share the rental car? Las Vegas can have good fares

Dave and I (Beth) will be attending the program with our grandson Gavin, who will turn 10 in June. We had a great experience last year on the Outdoor Safari in Ontario.

Charlie and I are getting excited about our trip, and we're looking forward to meeting you and Dave and Gavin! It sounds like there are going to be quite a few boys going!

Sue and I will be traveling with our 9 year old grandson, Henry. And I read that Mickey will be celebrating his 10th birthday while on the trip. Henry will be happy to hear there are others about the same age. As for the grandparents, well we are all young! (in spirit). Tim

Going to Sedona June 28, 2014 with my 9-year-old grandson, Charlie! We're from S.C. Anyone else going?

Looking forward to the June 8th trip to Grand Canyon starting at Sedona with my grandson?
Luci Newton Jun 25, 2014 at 10:46 AM

Bob, how was the trip to Sedona? I'm going this Saturday with my grandson. ANy suggestions? Luci

will Road Scholar be transporting us back to Sedona at the trip's end, or will we have to arrange for a shuttle. We will probably be flying out of Phoenix.

Hi Judith, yes, NAU will transport you back to Sedona. However, if you want to save time you can take Van Go's shuttle directly from the Hualapai Lodge back to Phoenix without going through Sedona. See Travel Details on left above.
Judith Kalmanson Mar 18, 2014 at 09:26 AM

thank you. What time will the NAU transport arrive in Sedona? Will we be able to still get to PHX for an evening flight or should we plan to spend the night in Sedona?

You would arrive at Sedona hotel about 2 pm. Then about 2+ hours back to Phoenix from there, depending on shuttle. For more information, give us a call 800-411-3086 or look at the day by day program details also on left side of the page.

I look forward to this trip July 29 with my oldest grandchild Mikey. He will turn 10 on the second day of our adventure. I have always wanted to explore the Canyon and now I get to do it with a special traveling companion! Can't wait to be with you all.
