Hi Anne:

I am traveling by myself except for Canyon De Chelly.

I was to Bryce NP in late Nov. 2010. Part of it was closed because of snow. Since this will be my first visit to North Rim of GC, is there any hikes you would recommend. Length can be up to 5 miles total. I will be there 1 full day plus part of second day.

Looking forward to meeting everybody at Canyon De Chelly.

I don't hike David, so can't help with the trails. I'm sure someone at the park can be helpful where that's concerned. Looking forward to meeting you at Canyon De Chelly. Margaret will be riding up to Chinle with me.

Hi David, we recommend the Transept Trail, along the rim; the N. Kaibab Trail to Coconino Overlook; and the Widforss Trail. There will be good information about them in the park guide as far as distances and elevation change. Enjoy!

So? Aside from myself, Margaret, and David, who's ready for Canyon De Chelly? David, don't know if you're doing a tour, or on your own, but Bryce at sunrise is spectacular, and the North Rim of the GC is great at sunset!!

Anyone know how many are signed up for the September 20 trip?

Hi Ann, there are currently 14 participants signed up for this program.

I am coordinating arrangements to participate in September 20, 2015 program and am interested in sharing a ride to Chinle, Az. I hope to share transportation from the Mesa area and return to Mesa from the program.

I will be at the Sept. 20, 2015 program. I am driving from Ohio by way of Bryce N. P. and North Rim Grand Canyon N. P.

I would like to attend the Sept. 20th Canyon De Chelly program. I will fly into Phoenix or Mesa a day or two early so my schedule is flexible. I would plan to share gas expenses both ways, too. mtvolpe@att.net
