ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

It is wierdly funny that I am mostly posting to myself but just in case someone is reading my posts, I decided to go ahead and come in to Phoenix. I finally found the right airline connections to meet the Van!! Yipee!

I am enrolled in the 4/12-18 program and I would like to know where to fly in. I thought it made sense to come into Flagstaff..Im going to call Monday to see what the shuttle operator says!? I'll let others know what I find out.

We are enrolled in the April 12-18, 2015 program. We can fly into/out of either Flagstaff or Phoenix. Is anyone able to offer carshare or advice on which airport is the best? Flagstaff is closer but the shuttle operator is really negative about picking us up there, and wants us to fly into Phoenix.

Did you book your reservations thru Road Scholar? If so, it may be that most of the group is flying into Phoenix and your flying there too will make the pickup process easier.

Hello to my future friends on the March 8,2015 trip. I am Rose of Washington state. I'll be flying into Phoenix. My main question - at this point - is whether you are all in good enough shape to carry me - should I prove not equal to the rigors of the trail ?!!!
Here's Hoping !

Hello Rose, I am Tom. 1st time on a RS Western hiking trip. Because of our winter I haven’t laced-up my hiking boots in 2 months. I don’t count wearing them shoving snow off my drive! I’m looking for warm weather. See you next week

Nice to "meet" you, Tom. Not to worry.... If we fade before the finish - we can hail a Taxi !!!!

I'll be taking part in the Sept 28 tour. I'm so looking forward to this adventure and meeting everyone. For anyone interested in condors, on Sept 27 there will be an event quite close to Marble Canyon. I plan to be there. Here are the details:
Come join us at the 18th Annual Public Condor Release and celebrate National Public Lands Day, Saturday, September 27, 2014. Activities, will begin around 10am and we'll open the doors of the Condor Cliffs Holding Pen atop the Paria Plateau at 11am. Spread the word...
We will have spotting scopes, binoculars and Project Personell to answer questions and give some background on the program.
Driving Directions:
From Flagstaff to the Condor Viewing Site (36.771027, -112.056501)
Follow US-89 N to US-89A N in Bitter Springs 110 mi / 1h 47 min.
Follow US-89A N to House Rock Rd 44.4 mi / 57 min.
Turn right (north) onto House Rock Rd (BLM 1065) 2.8 mi.
Destination is on the right...
