This is my first Road Scholar program. I am looking forward to some warmer weather and an early start to the golf season.

I would just love to register for this trip. It will be my first. Anyone who has any guidance, like what airport to fly into, if I should rent a car and drive to the location, etc. please let me know. I hope to meet new people and new friends. Do we travel as a group on the site-seeing trip?

Annamary-- Great that you are looking to join a Road Scholar program! I am an Ambassador for Road Scholar, and a veteran of more than 20 of their programs, though I have not done the one you are contemplating. But if you look at the "Travel Details" tab on the program description page of the website, you will find answers to your questions. I took a look at it and found that Phoenix is the closest airport, and that there is a Phoenix/Sedona shuttle that will get you from the airport to the program site by prior reservation. I don't know where you live, but it should be easy enough to calculate the cost of flying/shuttling vis-a-vis driving your personal vehicle. And use this "Connections" venue to lobby for ride/cost-sharing among others who are looking to join your program. As for sight-seeing trips, yes, you will undoubtedly do those as a group, so no need for a vehicle once you arrive. Hoping you elect to take the plunge and sign up for your first ever Road Scholar program. You will not be disappointed, and may even become addicted like me! tw
