Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Tom and I are arriving in St Petersburg on June 6th, 2013. We are very excited. We are wondering if we should be concerned about sea sickness. Any thought?

My Partner Barbara and I will be flying from Portland Oregon through Amsterdam to the July Russia Riverboat trip. We have been on one previous (US) Road Scholar trip. Also one time in St. Petersburg on a previous Baltic Sea cruise. When I look up the M/S RUSS the rooms look very small... we are excited for the trip to start.

Bette - my husband and I were on the trip last June. You will learn so much and see so much. Yes, the cabins are small, as most boats' cabins are but adequate. You have very little time to spend in your cabin as you are touring most of the day. The one day we had a longer cruise we were up on deck. The food was outstanding - better than either of the hotels we stayed at. Besides the overall guide - you will have a local guide at each of the towns. We flew in two days early to reduce jet lag and see more. Susan

I live in the San Fransisco Bay area and am signed up for the July 17th trip. Anyone from California going my way?

My husband, Alex, and I are arriving on a KLM flight from Amsterdam (starting from Seattle) on June 6th about 17:35. Anybody else arriving near that time that would like to share a ride to the hotel? Susan

My daughter, Bev, and I are really looking forward to this trip. Our passports and affixed visas arrived yesterday. This will be her first Road Scholar trip. I have been on many national and international trips with "Elderhostel".

It will be fun to meet and make new friends. Am looking forward to it.

Mary Alice Bergfeld
