Road Scholar
Program #1062RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Thinking of taking this program in Sept/Oct. either alone or with a friend. Am familiar with Sedona and the places it will go/do and wonder why it's either the Super 8 or the Hilton Golf Resort. Lots of other places are available, I wish there was a happy medium.

For the Oct 19-24/14 program...Three of us going to this program from the NE Kansas area and looking forward to the scenery. Arriving a day early to get settled. Would love to hear from others joining this program.

My wife and I are from the Puget Sound area in WA. We will arrive in Phoenix airport on Saturday evening. Is there a list of participants?
Sharon Smith Sep 30, 2014 at 08:08 PM

There isn't a list available. I don't think that's ever an option before the program. We'll get into Phoenix late morning on the 18th, then use the shuttle to Sedona. See you there!

Joanne
the shuttle from the airport is great and there is a shuttle from the hotel to most places in Sedona
You would need a car if you want to hike but there is not much free time
It was a great trip
Enjoy!

I am coming to Sedona a day early for the May 4 trip. I'm interested in other participants. Also, I would like to hear ifrom people who have taken the trip whether rental car is useful (we can shuttle in from the airport).

We have had some snow but nothing like yours. But we did have a -3 temp recently -- unusual for us. Hey, we are on opposite sides of the country.
C.J. McLaughlin Dec 30, 2013 at 11:41 AM

We will be arriving on the 8th too. We will be driving and want some flex time for getting there.
