Hi, Please advise if you have been on this tour, RS says to bring "water shoes, on some hikes there will be opportunity to wade in the water" I have rubber booties for walking on gravel beach. are they OK? Do I need water shoes at all? Thank you,
Jo Ann Gow Sep 03, 2014 at 07:24 AM

Hi Joseph, I did go on the tour to RS. We didn't need water shoes on any of the days. I was disappointed with the hiking. Not much of it. Don't stress over what to take. Just sneakers or hiking boots were all that you need. Hope you enjoy.

Hi Jo Ann, Thanks for the info:). I heard it rains a lot there. But it is like rain in FL, it rains for 1 hr then is sunny. Did you use a poncho or something else.? Thanks

Anyone from NC doing the Great Smoky Mountains Nat'l Park trip?
JOSEPH CHIARELL Aug 26, 2014 at 07:32 PM

Hi Jo Ann, I am going on this tour. Coming from NJ. Flying into CLT. Renting a car. I booked a tour of the Biltmore Estate on 9/12. It is about a half hour from our "home base". It cost $60. Are you or anyone else on the trip interested in going? Joe Chiarell
