Jerry and Sue Dowling
We are taking train from Winnipeg to Churchill 2/12-14/2013 and have purchased flight from Churchill to Winnipeg on Calm Air on 2/19.2012 but it is not untill 2:30pm

Rosemary Woodel Nov 15, 2012 at 11:29 AM

So far there are only 4 of us interested in Calm Air. I bet there are other registrants who may not use this way to communicate.
Teresa Wilkin Nov 16, 2012 at 02:33 PM

But Calm Air is the only way to get there, isn't it? Anybody else out there on the February 14, 2013 departure date? We need at least 7 for a group rate. Let us hear from you! This is the only way we are going to find each other since RS will not share participant info.
Teresa Wilkin Nov 16, 2012 at 02:35 PM

BTW, my email is teresawilkin@gmail.com if you prefer to communicate off site.

Hi, I have just joined the March Aurora program and have no idea how I am going to get to Churchill. I would be interested in the Calm Air Group rate as well as information about the train.

Rosemary Woodel Oct 08, 2012 at 08:00 PM

Hi, Teresa. When I called Calm Air they verified group rate possibility for 7 folks. But said we couldn't sign up till November. Two of us would definitely do this.
Teresa Wilkin Oct 08, 2012 at 08:17 PM

Great! Let's hope four more folks see this post and will be willing to join us. I'll be in Asia until November 15, so won't be getting back to you before then. Gives us time to recruit!

Teresa Wilkin Sep 27, 2012 at 01:31 PM

Looking at the Calm Air website, I see they need only 7 persons for a group reservation which offers substantial savings. They ask only a $50/per person deposit and names can be changed on the reservation if necessary. Anybody interested in arranging a group fare between Winnipeg and Churchill for the February dates of this program?
Rosemary Woodel Sep 27, 2012 at 02:47 PM

Hi. I am once I receive a reply to my request about any benefits in arriving early or staying late. My friend would also.

Anyone taking the train from Winnipeg to Churchill?
Gust Jenson Feb 17, 2012 at 09:08 AM

Yup, winging way to Winnipeg Saturday, departing, via rail, Sunday , on the 12:05, which I'm told has no dining car so will have to hunt for food along the way. Perhaps we will meet
