I will be coming from Eugene, Or for the June 20 trip...can't wait. I love Vancouver Island, and have been waiting 5 years to take a trip like this. Went on the Vancouver Signature City trip, and I was hooked. Love to hear from anyone else going on this trip.

Hi Lisa, Judy Kramer here. I just signed onto the social networking system. I will be coming from Palo Alto, California. I have a Kiwanis International convention right after this trip, so thought it would be fun to combine volunteer work and pleasure. Always wanted to see the Vancouver area, so am looking forward to the trip.

As an amateur but serious photographer, I am particularly looking forward to photography. You can see my work at www.earthwitnessphoto.com

Hello ladies. I am thinking of signing on for this trip in 2014. I don't see any reviews listed and was wondering what you thought of your trip. Did you see whales and was the activity level accurate as listed by RS. Would appreciate any info you could give. Also, how many were in your group? I would be traveling solo - is it mostly couples? thanks. jan

I was a solo participant, and I really enjoyed it. The leader is very knowledgeable and took good care of us. Our instructors were excellent. We saw lots of interesting things. We did not see whales because the waves were too big on the open ocean, but we did see bears and eagles in the sound. We had about 14 people, a little more than half couples. You do need to move around, but any able-bodied person could do it as there were no long distances. I recommend it..

just 2 more questions please. Did you have trouble getting a sngle room for lodging or did then room-mate you? Also, did you get up to the lighthouse at the PR Nat'l Park. Thanks for you tme.
Judy Kramer Jan 18, 2014 at 03:28 PM

Always had a single room. We didn't see a lighthouse. You can see my photos of what we did see on my web site at http://www.earthwitnessphoto.com/Site/British_Columbia/British_Columbia.html
