See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Recent participants: Any comments about the meat vs vegetarian meal option?
Linda Long Oct 10, 2014 at 02:16 PM

I picked the vegetarian option for one meal in Cornwall and it was too spicy for my taste. I designated meat in my paper work and that seemed like a good choice. Enjoy this fantastic trip!

Looking at the June 9-22 trip next year. It says to bring walking shoes and equipment. Then it says See packing list. So far, I haven't found the packing list. Anyone know where it is? Anyone else looking at that trip?
Gail Binder Sep 17, 2014 at 08:51 PM

Teddy, Packing list will be in the info you receive closer to departure. Hiking poles were really helpful and good sturdy hiking shoes.... don't need to be above ankle. It's a great trip.

Thanks so much! Must figure out a way to take my sticks. Even though they do telescope, they won't fit in my suitcase.

Going on the Sept.16th program, when it says walk 6 miles does that mean round trip, to next town and back? Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Hello, everyone! Only one week to go for the July 8 Program. I'm a retired Biology Prof & on my first "big trip" since retiring. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Anybody making the September 30 trip? I'm a bit afraid of what the weather might do, particularly Cornwall. Would love to go in September but can't swing it. Any insights welcome! Also considering the Lakes District trip-
