This message is for Peggy who contacted me through the social network. I don't use Facebook so I'm unable to contact you directly but wanted to thank you. I'm a retired teacher and look forward to meeting you. Also, I upgraded to a single room. Talk to you when we meet in March.

When I attended the Humpback Whale program in Hawaii last year during the snorkeling outings they had masks that accommodated near-sightedness. It was such a blessing to see clearly under the water. I was wondering if someone knows whether they have those type of masks when snorkeling to see the manatees? Also, I'll be attending the program in March, 2014 as a single; anyone else out there attending as a single? Thanks!

I attended last November - this was a fantastic trip! Everything was A-1 including the leaders, the outings, the hotels, and the food. I attended as a single, as did others, and the group quickly bonded. Snorkling with the manatees was the experience of a lifetime. Regarding the masks: I don't know about this; I suggest contacting Rhode Scholar with the question, and/or bringing your own mask.

A girlfriend and I chose this as our first Road Scholar experience. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks, Rita
