I am very interested in taking this trip in May 2013,but there are no comments from previous participants to help me figure out if this journey is worthwhile. If you have taken this trip in the past, would you e-mail me at haron@comcast.net to tell me if you enjoyed the trip, if you found the hotels satisfactory, etc.?

Hi Helen, I never took this trip, although it sounds very interesting. I have to reconsider it. As you can see. it has a high star rating, but no reviews. You can always check the hotels on-line, although personal experience is preferable. Best of luck to you.

I'm pondering taking it next May, but it is hard to choose! If I do, I'll take the Bulgarian extension. I have no direct knowledge of the trip, but I've found a bit about many of the sites mentioned by looking them up in Wikipedia or on Google. Some of them sound great! I'm not keen on the frequent hotel changes, but that's unavoidable if you want to go on a trip that covers four countries.

We alwayslike to buy a few snacks for the room. We would prefer to use euros rather than changing money to the local currency. Does anyone know if this is possible? TKS

I have no direct knowledge, but Wikipedia reports that all the countries on this trip except Greece use their own currency. It is possible that tourist-oriented places would take Euros, though probably with a surcharge of some sort.
