Booked this tour for December. The third Road Scholar for my husband and me. We are excited to see the behind the scenes and winery, too. Have done 7 Road Scholar Intergenerational and loved them. Anyone else going Dec 6-11?

Right after I wrote the previous post, I discovered the info I wanted right here on this website. They list a couple of options but if anyone has used what they thought was a particularly good service at a reasonable rate let me know. Thanks.

I am thinking of signing up for this program for November; I phoned the Lodge at Bonclarken regarding ground transportation from Asheville Regional Airport. The gentleman's suggestion was to rent a car. Is there an alternative that someone might know?

Oh, I wish I had known Road Scholar would plan our air travel. Now, I have done that. I am hosting my daughter, Linda Hillebrand and my neighbor, Tania Botelho. Please note Tania's name is incorrect on your forms. Also, note it is approved for 3 of us to share one room.

I'm very excited to be coming from Durham, NC for this program.
Betty Frandsen Nov 16, 2012 at 04:37 PM

We are scheduled to arrive at the airport a little after 1:30. Martha, have you been to Ashville before since you live "so close"?

Betty Frandsen Oct 16, 2012 at 12:50 PM

We will be going on the November 25 tour and have the same question as Pat. Also, is anyone going from the midwest? We are from Wisconsin.

Pat Andersen Oct 12, 2012 at 04:23 PM

I will be taking this tour on November 11 and would love to know what past participants liked best about it. Also, what should I (female) wear?
Betty Frandsen Nov 17, 2012 at 10:06 AM

I am wondering how the tour turned out., What did you like best? What should we be prepared for?
Pat Andersen Nov 17, 2012 at 12:11 PM

The tour was wonderful in every aspect, accommodations, food, and tour coordinator. The weather was cooler than I expected so be sure to bring warm clothes.
Betty Frandsen Dec 03, 2012 at 07:32 PM

I agree with Pat on the tour details. Nicely paced too.
