While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Thanks, Janet - there will also be "acqua alta" on the 14th and 15th - this is the time of the new moon. As those of us who live near the coast know, high tides are higher around the time of the full moon and new moon - off to WalMart to get some high boots - ! Looking forward to meeting everyone - ! Carol

Hello all. Don't know if you have been following this, but Venice experienced some unusually high levels of "acqua alta" last week - it overran some of the wooden walkways used to get around the lower-lying areas. That did it - I decided to pack my high rubber boots. Look forward to meeting you all on Friday.

Hi to all - a very interesting non-fiction book about Venice is The City of Falling Angels by John Berendt. About the water taxi, I expect several of us will have the very early Air France flight going back to Paris - Water taxi will be quicker and easier . . . !

Mignon Adams Oct 08, 2012 at 02:00 PM

I'm Mignon Adams from Philadelphia. This is my first solo Road Scholar trip and I'm looking forward to Venice. Anyone else reading the Donna Leon books?
Alexia Lalli Oct 29, 2012 at 12:26 PM

I have read ALL the Brunetti mysteries. Wish I had time to read them all again. I am going on a Brunetti tour that I found on the internet that says it is approved by Donna Leon.
Mignon Adams Oct 29, 2012 at 12:53 PM

I've only read 7. Trying to work my way from the beginning. I just saw the tour on the Internet. If you'd like company on the tour, let me know.
Alexia Lalli Oct 29, 2012 at 06:29 PM

Absolutely. I'll find a day when we aren't doing anything.

Alexia Lalli Oct 04, 2012 at 09:24 PM

Anyone interested in a brunetti tour?

Alexia Lalli Oct 03, 2012 at 07:24 AM

I am going on this trip with my cousin Laura. Anyone else from NYC?

Carol Molten May 14, 2012 at 02:43 PM
