Candida - If you're comfortable doing so you can reach me at my e-mail address - thebirdsandthetrees@yahoo.com, which I think makes it a lot easier to communicate. If you don't want to do so, I'll answer you here for now. I'm departing from JFK - staying overnight in NYC the night before in order to break up the distance somewhat. Hope to hear more from you. It would be nice to be acquainted when we meet in May.

Merry Christmas to you as well, Candida. I'm glad you were able to reserve a space for this exciting trip. Are you traveling solo? What airport will you be departing from?
Candida Wolff-Vodden Dec 23, 2014 at 11:13 AM

Christine, I'm traveling solo and driving (5.5 hours) to the San Francisco airport. RS booked my flights with Air France. Wish I could afford those1st class cubicles they have now. My sister just flew Air France and could lay down and sleep on the flight! Where are you departing from?

Merry Christmas Christine and others taking the Voyage to Antiquity trip on May 19th. I'm off the waitlist and have a space reserved!
I found an excellent source of info on the Aegean Odyssey that you may want to look at. I loved learning more about the ship, the cabins, the food, the excursions, etc from this Cruise Critic site: http://www.cruisecritic.com/reviews/review.cfm?ShipID=582

Hello, Candida. Yes, I am traveling as a single. RS will only do roommate matching for certain categories on most of their cruise programs. If you have any questions about your status, call them. They are great at answering questions. I don't know anything about the waitlist you mentioned. It is possible to reserve your cabin so you will know exactly where you will be on the ship.

I did this trip two years ago. It is fabulous do not doubt, just enjoy!!

Would like to hear from anyone else who has signed up for this trip May 19, 2015. I'll be traveling solo and love meeting new people.
Candida Wolff-Vodden Nov 27, 2014 at 10:58 PM

Hi Christine. I will most likely be going. I do have questions about the "wait list" for Accommodation #3 choice for the cabins on The .Odysse.y. Do you know if you are traveling as a "single"
Candida Wolff-Vodden Nov 27, 2014 at 11:01 PM

Can you reserve a room...there is a statement from RS saying they can't arrange for roommates.

I would I go on this trip if I needed a motorized wheel chair?

marilyn gregory May 16, 2013 at 08:36 PM

Hi Roberta "Bobbie", I will be on the London flight and will be watching for my fellow Roadie. I live in the foothills of the Sierra mountains in California, and am visiting a friend in London on the way.
Looking forward to meeting you all.
