I wish the same trip was still offered. It was at a retreat owned by Clemson and the cabins were just great as well as the leader. It was a true adventure through the Sparkleberry Swamp and out in the Intercoastal Waterway. I cannot find anything similar listed.... can you? Right now I am looking at a kayak trip in WA in August. Thanks for your comment

Really looking forward to this trip. I did a similar trip about 5 years ago in S. Carolina.... it was a dream trip!!

We did a program last spring in SC - our leaders were April and Jody - was a fun trip - we'll have to compare notes. Bill and Sue

Question for you - are the kayaks single or doubles - sit in or sit on? any canoes available? Is Lee Knight still the instructor?

I am wondering how many hours of paddling at one time? Interested but not sure my skills are up to it.

The paddles are moderate, in flat water (rivers and estuaries), and they take plenty of breaks. The group will usually paddle for about an hour and then take a snack break. They remain on the water, but take rest periods sitting in the kayaks.
