I took this program in December 2007. It had 90 participants, but we were divided into 3 separate groups (red, green, and silver) of 30 people each, so it didn't seem like such a large group. The only time we were all together as one big group was for the holiday dinners. For the lectures, the sightseeing, and the afternoon high tea we were just with our group of 30, as each group did these activities separately. Out of the 47 Road Scholar programs I have taken to date, this one was by far my favorite. And that is really saying a lot because the holiday that I usually celebrate at that time of year is Chanukah! The Grand Empress Hotel was elegant and the Christmas dinner was a good opportunity to dress up in semi-formal with the "little black dress" that I don't get to wear very often. If the airfare from NY weren't so high (there are no sales or discounts at that time of year) and were there not the holiday blackout period on using frequent flyer mileage, I would take this program again in a heartbeat, as many participants do (the silver group is just for repeat participants). In my opinion the program evaluation rating should definitely be a 5 as opposed to the mere 4.4 or so that I see listed for it in the program description. Go for it!

How many participants are usually in attendance for the Victoria Christmas? Does anyone have any comments about this program?

Interesting & useful information from Ada Green. I had no idea that there would be so many people allowed/enrolled in this program. From my previous experience there have never been more than 40+ in a program. Thanks for the "heads up'.
