I'm heading to sea on 1st cruise Nov/Dec Hawaii bound. Any advice for a novice sailor would be greatly appreciated, besides flu shots.
Gayle Gray Oct 19, 2015 at 01:16 PM

Am arriving San Diego 11/22 for a few days extra in my favorite city. Anyone else doing same?

Susan Marks Oct 12, 2015 at 06:35 PM

For the Nov/Dec 2015 Hawaii cruise, I am interested in visiting Chinatown during the free evening time and including dinner on Saturday, Dec. 5. As a single, I would welcome company. The visit to Chinatown appears to be recommended for Honolulu. The ship leaves at 10PM I welcome your comments as well.
Gayle Gray Oct 31, 2015 at 10:35 PM

I have looked at Chinatown district on map and it appears to be quite sizeable and have no idea how long the tour of USS Arizona would go into the afternoon/evening. Would be interesting, however.
Susan Marks Nov 01, 2015 at 08:26 AM

I have a self guided 1-2hr. walking tour of Chinatown and the location of the Little Village Noodle House, with a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.
Susan Marks Nov 01, 2015 at 08:29 AM

I would certainly get the advice of Art Reed, our tour guide, on Chinatown at night. Plus, it's a very long day, so I may pass if too tired. For more discussion on board, yes?

Chit-chatting on board sounds great...I'm sure that there will be plenty of time to do that. Looking forward to the 25th and meeting everyone. Should be fun.

Can anyone comment on the on-board weather for the January crossing? Warm, windy, stormy, etc.?

Joseph Cancilla Jun 09, 2015 at 08:59 PM

If I drive down to San Diego, where can I park for the duration of the cruise?

Nancy Zuber Mar 05, 2015 at 01:05 AM

Del has already introduced us. I am a retired social worker. Del was a community school counselor. We are both genealogical researchers. Only about 3 weeks before the trip!!
