Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I'm looking forward to the Feb trip, flying out of JFK from SF. Does anyone have comments on the trip insurance? Berkely doesn't seem to have a very good
record

My wife (Lucy) & I are flying out of JFK as well. We are coming from Louisville, KY and will arrive in NY on January 17th. Are you & Bob getting any type of "malaria" preventive treatment before the trip?
Viki D. Oct 17, 2012 at 10:13 PM

Viki D. Oct 17, 2012 at 10:15 PM

My husband Joe and I will fly out of JFK too. We're on the same trip. We're from South Bend, IN.
Rosalie Applebaum Nov 07, 2012 at 11:37 AM

RE: malaria pills. My friend was in India last year in the same area and at the same time we are going. She said there was lots of fog and mosquitoes. We will talk to our MD in a week or so and will probably get the pills.

Donna Lambert-Schmiech Sep 03, 2012 at 12:08 PM

Hi Judith. It's too soon for me to decided on this excursion. I'll wait and see how things go when we get to Nepal. If you need a definite answer now, I'll regretfully say no. I'm looking forward to meeting you. Are you flying out of Kennedy also?

Donna Lambert-Schmiech Sep 25, 2012 at 06:31 AM
