Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

I have a ticket available (my companion cancelled.) for Saturday, May 11, at the Folger's for Shakespear's Twelth Night. There is also a small exhibit at the theater. Would enjoy some company. Anyone available and interested. After the preformance I would prefer returning to our hotel by cab instead of Metro.

My husband and I are participating in the Discover Washington program #2833RJ starting on April 28, 2013. Is anyone else coming from California?
John Munson May 24, 2013 at 08:36 PM

John and Dorothy Munson are coming from Los Gatos, CA

I am looking for the participant form requested in a e-mail today.
Christine Brown Mar 31, 2013 at 10:15 AM

You can access that from your account page.

I am an artist (retired English teacher) who would like to visit one of the art museums while in DC during free time. Anyone else on the DC program Ap 7-12 who has that same interest?

Christine Brown Feb 13, 2013 at 07:00 PM

In order to have a tour of the White House you have to write to your state senator, submit personal information and then be granted a tour date/time. This is necessary for security reasons.
Deena Kennedy Apr 04, 2013 at 03:19 PM

I am going on trip end of Sept and do not see White House specially listed so will assume not included?
Christine Brown Apr 06, 2013 at 11:14 PM

Unfortunately, all White House tours have been cancelled due to sequestration...

Sharon Kielty Feb 13, 2013 at 03:51 PM

I thought a White House tour would be included. Why not?
Marshal Blumstock Feb 13, 2013 at 04:04 PM

You can request from your Congress person or Senator on their Web sites to visit the White House

Sharon Kielty Feb 04, 2013 at 03:13 PM

What hotel do we stay at in Washington D.C.?
Marshal Blumstock Feb 04, 2013 at 03:40 PM

The program starting June 2 is at the Radisson Hotel Reagan National Airport (703) 920-8600. We will be arriving a day early and leaving 2 days after program ends.

Marshal Blumstock Nov 28, 2012 at 09:11 PM

Whom do I contact about extra nights at Hotel ?
Christine Brown Jan 11, 2013 at 05:02 PM

Call the hotel directly.
Marshal Blumstock Jan 11, 2013 at 06:34 PM

Thanks Christine. Have done.
