While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Anyone coming in through Syracuse ... I'll help pay for gas!

Hi Ann. Not everyone in our program is reading these notes. I'd recommend that you contact Jenny Monroe and see if she can help in any way. Christine

Hi Ann. Wow - all the way from Washington State to Elmira!! I'm impressed. I hope that you have some time to enjoy "The East" while you are here. I am flying into Elmira on the 23. I understand that there is another woman flying on my flight (via Philadelphia) named Llucinda. Jenny Monroe from the Elderhostel program is picking us up. When are you coming in? As to Chihuly....I'm afraid that I had to look him up on Wikipedia. His work is very interesting. I have some early Burris :-); that at least my family enjoys. Take care. See you in a couple weeks. Christine

Hi Glass lovers. I'm flying to this program as a single...coming from Washington DC. Anyone else coming up from this area? What are your interests? I have done some glass work and want to see and learn more. Hope to hear from someone! Christine

I'm flying from Washington State, also as a single. I've done flat glass, and my aunt, who volunteered at the Tacoma Art Museum, famous for its collection of early Chihuly, wanted me to go to the glass school founded by Chihuly. I didn't. This may sort of take its place.
