I am going on the June 3 trip and would like to know if anyone else is going from the Philadelphia area.
Brian Bakeman Apr 25, 2013 at 02:52 PM

Hi Ruth - there are 4 of us flying down from Oklahoma and look forward to meeting you.

I'm 76 and in pretty good shape for a grandpa. I'd like to take my granddaughter as a graduation from college gift. We'd likely go August 19. Am I making a good choice? Will a 23-year old, fluent in Spanish, enjoy this trip, or is this a loaded question?
Spencer Resnick Apr 22, 2013 at 10:53 PM

We are going on May 5, 2013 and I will let you know when we return. Be aware that the rainy season in Costa Rica is from May to November and August would be right in the heart of the rainy season.
Spencer Resnick May 17, 2013 at 05:57 PM

We just returned from our trip and had a wonderful time. Not a lot of rain yet and the accomodations were fine. Regarding your question, your granddaughter may feel a little out of place with a group of Senior Citizens, if It were I, I would look for a program with a more compatible mix of ages.

I'm on the March 18th Costa Rica trip. Would like to know if I have a roommate and hear from others on that trip. I live in Oregon.

My wife Julia and I are planning to go on the June 3rd trip. This will be our first international trip with Road Scholar. Anyone have any suggestions for us?

Brian, I just got back Jan 21-29 from the Taste of Costa Rica Trip. It was wonderful, with a very knowledgeable guide. Make sure to bring shoes you can get wet especially if you go on the rafting trip. I ended up with wet tennis shoes for several days, because I didn't bring sandals with a strap. Have fun!!!
Brian Bakeman Apr 25, 2013 at 02:48 PM

Thanks for the heads up on that.

Martin Skala Jan 11, 2013 at 05:31 PM
