ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderately Challenging
Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.

See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Anyone taking the May 8th tour?

Llewellyn Lutchansky Mar 23, 2015 at 08:02 PM

Anybody out there on the May 2 tour? Spring in Paris - it's the thing to do, we're told.
Barbara Cummings Mar 27, 2015 at 05:22 PM

Yes, I am. Getting closer now & I'm getting excited.

Anyone here going on the April 25th Tour?

Paulette Zubel Mar 04, 2015 at 09:03 AM

Thank you, Charlotte. Very helpful!

Paulette Zubel Mar 02, 2015 at 02:01 PM

Has anyone gone to Paris in October? What is the weather, crowds like?
Charlotte MacNeice Mar 02, 2015 at 05:31 PM

I went Nov 1-8 last year. The weather was like Fall in the NE USA. Maybe a brief shower in the am, then clouds and sun. I wore layers and peeled them as the day went by. Very few tourists, esp in the museums.

Who's going on the March 28the trip?

Barbara Cummings Feb 24, 2015 at 06:38 PM

Hi, I'm going on the April 4th trip and I'm very excited. RS has such terrific programs and I'm met some lovely people. Anyone else going then. Or does anyone who has already been have tips?
Karen Brist Mar 01, 2015 at 08:14 PM

My friend and I are also planning on the April 4th trip. Neither of us has been to Paris before. This is my first RS trip, but he traveled with them to Central America several years ago when they were Elderholstel. We arrive from San Francisco on the 4th at about 10:30 am
Barbara Cummings Mar 02, 2015 at 12:25 PM

Hi Karen! I get in on the 4th also, at 10:55 am, pretty close to when you get there. It's my first time in Paris too. I traveled 3 times with them last year and this is my first international trip with them. I enjoyed the trips last year so much I'm hoping these live up to them. Maybe we can have a coffee or whatever that first day especially since the tour doesn't start until the next late afternoon.
Robert Golden Mar 10, 2015 at 02:37 PM

We are going from Seattle on the April 4th trip, arriving 8am on the 5th. We'd love to meet up at the airport and go to the hotel together. Robert and Barbara
Barbara Cummings Mar 10, 2015 at 03:01 PM

Hi Robert and Barbara (another Barbara), I'm actually arriving on the 4th so I'll just watch for you while at the hotel to say hello.
Diane Weiner Mar 14, 2015 at 11:03 PM

Hi Robert & Barbara, I am leaving from Seattle on the 4th as well:) Interested in sharing cab to the hotel?
Robert Golden Mar 16, 2015 at 08:23 PM

Yes, we'll probably make contact while waiting to board the plane. See you then.

Diane Weiner Feb 23, 2015 at 01:12 PM

Hi, I just signed up for the April 4-12 tour, arriving CDG on 4/5 at 8:15am. Looking for someone to share a cab to the hotel.
Barbara Cummings Feb 24, 2015 at 06:29 PM

Hi Diane - I'm going on that same tour. I'm excited about it, it will be my first time in Paris. Actually, I'm leaving a day early, Friday April 3rd, arriving on the 4th. Going to be in the same hotel as we'll be using during the tour. I'll look forward to meeting you. Is it your first time in Paris?
Diane Weiner Feb 24, 2015 at 07:57 PM

Hi Barbara, I was in Paris for 2 whirlwind days 25 yrs ago & am really looking forward to exploring the city. This is my first RS trip & I am excited for the adventure. Look forward to meeting you too:)
Barbara Cummings Mar 02, 2015 at 12:26 PM

There will probably be a lot of changes! I'd be interested in hearing about some of the differences. It's interesting to have that perspective.
