My husband and I are looking forward to meeting others on the 2015 Dia de Los Muertos trip. We have been to Mexico City (many years ago) and to the Yucatan (also many years ago but these cities are all new to us. For years I have wanted to be with the Mexican people as they celebrate the Day of the Dead so I am quite excited about the upcoming trip.

It was a wonderful trip --- I would do it again but there are so many more wonderful holidays to try and so little time! I think I sat with different people every meal which gave an opportunity to meet everyone. I'm sure this will be a wonderful experience for you, too.

I am surprised no-one has written a thought since I did. Still, I suppose we will have plenty of time to get to know each other in a week or so!

I guess we're the "very" early birds. I study Spanish in NYC, wondering where you studied in Cuernavaca, thinking of extending trip so I can study a few weeks & live with a local family...any guidance??

Shirley Summers Sep 20, 2013 at 08:31 PM

Hi everyone,
I am looking forward to the trip. I am traveling solo from Central Coast of California. I have studied Spanish I Cuernavaca and have vacationed in Oaxaca. I am anxious to learn more about Diá de Los Muertos.
Thomas Foran Nov 11, 2014 at 10:47 AM

Studied in Cuernavaca also...fantastic place

My late husband and I had been to Oaxaca and loved it. This is the home of those wonderful wood carved strange animals and Mole. They also have a fabulous market and great fudge. However, I have not tried the local delicacy, grasshoppers. Looking forward to trip. I have signed up for a roommate.

Hi, Carolyn! good to know at least one other person on this trip! We live in LincolnCalifornia, just north of Sacramento. Always wanted to see Charleston. This'll be our first time w/Road Scholar; how 'bout you?

Sue Kahler Oct 02, 2012 at 12:14 PM
