Is there anyone going to this program from the RI-Conn-Mass area that would like to carpool. I am in Rhode Island

The program says that the trip begins on the 2:00 boat on Sunday. Other Hog Island trips, not with Road Scholar, says that the Audubon folks will meet the bus at Damariscotta at 3:30. Is that a possibility? It would save me a hotel night.

Is there anyone going to the Sept 2012 Maine Seabird Bio & Conservation program driving from the NY area?

Sophie Gerard Apr 18, 2012 at 07:13 PM

Hi all, mu name is Sophie and I am participating in the Maine Seabird biology and conservation program June3rd-June 8th.(Portland International Jetport (PWM) I'm in the process of arranging ground transportation to the Audubon dock in Bremen and then back to the airport at the end of the program. Wanted to see if there were other folks who are arriving at the airport around the same time who would want share the cost of a shuttle ride. My flight arrives at 12:38pm on June 3rd.
Looking forward to meeting you all

Could someone tell me which trip (june or sept) will be going to the island with the puffins?
Sophie Gerard Apr 28, 2012 at 10:46 AM

I believe its the sept. Im enrolled in the June program and I don't remember reading anything about seeing Puffins. Could be wrong though
Road Scholar May 21, 2012 at 03:15 PM

The June program occurs when puffins are in residence, therefore they can be viewed but participants will not land on the islands. The puffins have left by September. Although you cannot view them in the fall, participants will be landing on puffin islands to complete habitat improvements.
