Road Scholar
Program #10515RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate
Road Scholar has thousands of educational adventures to choose from. A good way to narrow down our list is to browse our collection of "Most Popular" programs.
See all of our Most Popular programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

anyone looking to share transportation back to the hotel from the rose bowl game?

Jon Call Dec 24, 2013 at 03:46 PM

Of course, as far as I can see anyway, there is no rush just a show of interest for now.

Jon Call Dec 23, 2013 at 09:11 PM

Okay, riders, here's a cost for the ride back to our hotel from Pasadena… Let me know what you think. We have to reserve 48 hrs. in advance.
From the limo service: I'll be happy to provide the prices, please note that on Jan 1 fares ate different than on regular days.

For sedan(2pass.) the price is $180 ($90 each)
For Suv(up to 6 pass.) the price is $250 ($41.66 each)
For Van(7 or more) the price is $350 ($50 each)

All the prices do not include driver gratuity. We require 48 hr window for booking.

Hi Jon, Sounds OK for Dorothy Jean & me, but should we wait until we all meet on Saturday night to see if there are any others that want to join us? We have 48hours to make the reservation.

Kalane McDonald Dec 22, 2013 at 09:03 PM

Hi Jon,
Exciting that we have a group going to the game. GO STANFORD!! I believe we are 7 at this time. How many can the limo accommodate? Another possibility is hiring a Super Shuttle van. A free shuttle carries people to and from the game at Parsons parking lot, located at Union St. and DeLacey Ave. Please let us know what you find out.

Go SPARTANS!! We have a friendly rivalry going on here! Dorothy Jean Coulter (my sister-in-law) & I are interested in sharing a ride back to the hotel too. Can't wait to meet all of you & to enjoy everything on the agenda, especially the parade & game!

My wife & I are going to the Rose Bowl and will also be looking for a way to return to the hotel. I've contacted RS recommended shuttle (Star Limo) and I'm waiting on a price. It maybe less expensive with a group. Let me know if interested...

Cory,
Any responses? I am ready to make a reservation. I tried to find the discount code on the forms, to no avail, so the web site shows $45. and shows $9 for additional traveler. I'm not sure what that means. Let me know what you plan.

Kalane & Cory,

The code is LN9QR, which is what I used when I made my reservation. We 3 have a limo going around 3:30 from LAX at a cost of $109.

Cory Coons Dec 19, 2013 at 06:31 PM

Need two more to share a limousine from the airport to the hotel on 12/28 at 2 p.m. The cost should be close to what the shuttle charges.

Kalane McDonald Dec 13, 2013 at 07:36 PM

Hi Judith and Betty,
Yes, there should be at least five os us walking to the stadium and following the game finding our way back to the hotel. Betty, you have the ticket. I just don't know the exact seat location yet, until I receive them next week. I will inform you as soon as I know.
Elizabeth Howes Dec 13, 2013 at 08:46 PM

Great News! Am looking forward to it.
Judith Anderson Dec 14, 2013 at 12:56 AM

Hi Kalane and Betty. Good to hear from you both. Any ideas on how to get back to our hotel after the game? The Road Scholar program says we can reserve a Supper Shuttle van to pick us up and drive us back to hotel.
