We're taking the Northern New Mexico trip July 26 - Aug. 2.
Any suggestions that would help our trip go smoothly?

I took this trip in May. This was my first trip with roadscholars and it was great. The tour guide and bus diriver were great. The trip went smoothly.

Thanks!

It will be dry but quite warm in late July.

My wife and I took the tour in April; at least you won't have to be prepared for snow. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

My wife, Laura, and I are taking our first Road Scholar tour next week. Does any "experienced" traveler have any suggestions?
Joseph Kluepfel Apr 07, 2015 at 09:21 AM

Road Scholar gives you the opportunity to learn about many interesting topics and meet people who are well educated, friendly and avid students. Some sites are great, some not so great I have a motto....Be flexible and you won't get bent out of shape!

I will making my first trip via Road Scholar's in May. Are there any other travlers from the Columbus Ohio area making this trip to Albuquerque?

I am at the hotel in Allbequerque, having made reservations and paid for four participants. The hotel only has one room, not in my name but for one of my guests, and there is no one to contact, no one to answer any phones at Road Scholar. What should I do?
Betsy Saul Mar 22, 2015 at 12:53 PM

If your reservation was made via Road Scholar, then you must notify your RS group leader. If no RS group leader is there as yet, then contact the Boston HQ of Road Scholar. You should have their number in your packet of info received from RS. You should have some sort of confirmation info either from RS or the hotel. Without a confirmation number you might be out of luck.

I am taking the Oct 26-Nov 1 trip and arriving 1 day early. The walk mentioned below sounds like a good idea. Any other suggestions for my early arrival day

I am taking the Sept 27-Oct 6th trip. I am looking forward to absorbing the beauty and spirituality of the area. I hope I can find some contemplative time during the trip. Any suggestions how to plan it?

Hi! My name is Ken. My wife, Betsy, and myself are doing the Sept 28 - Oct. 6 session, which includes the Balloon Fiesta. Anything we should know about, good or bad, and any helpful tips? We are flying in a day early from Pennsylvania.

Hi, My husband, Rod, and I will be on the same program. We are trying to walk at the highest elevations we can find to hopefully acclimate to the NM elevation. We have a mountain nearby at almost 6,000 feet so we hiked there this weekend. Looking forward to meeting you.
Betsy Saul Sep 08, 2014 at 09:00 PM

Hi Doris & Rod! Good to hear from someone else on this trip! We look forward to meeting you both! We are from southeastern Pennsylvania, so no places we can walk to acclimate to the altitude. Where are you from? Have you done any other Road Scholar trips? This will be our second. We did their San Diego trip a few years ago, and loved it.!
Doris Butler Sep 09, 2014 at 12:11 PM

We live in Spokane, Washington. This will be our first R.S. trip and we are really excited and curious to see how it goes. We have never explored the Southwest before.
